[Training workshop, Chinese typing input method ‍]

Being digitally savvy is essential nowadays. Knowing how to “type” is often more important than knowing how to “write”. Learning Chinese typing can enhance employability as well as improve communication skills Recently, MIW launched a Chinese Typing Input Method workshop using mobile phones to teach the members simplified Cangjie and voice input method. The workshop helps them to use Chinese typing during work and daily life.

The tutor used friendly teaching materials and set interesting examples for teaching the combination of different Chinese words – the basic concept of the Cangjie input method. All members were enthusiastic to learn, and they continuously jotted down detailed notes. Member, Yiu Yiu (alias) said, “Thank you for the tutor’s patience, and the other staff who helped me to do the settings on the mobile phone so that I can keep practicing, even at home.” 

Learning new things is always exciting. Though the Chinese typing input method is easy to learn, it can be difficult to master. But practice makes perfect and with the assistance of tutors and other classmates, we can help develop these important skills!
