[My drawing tells my inner space]
Not long-ago Hong Kong faced one of the worst spreads of the COVID-19 virus, many people fell ill to the highly infectious omicron variant. During that time, quite a lot of our members felt sadness, fear, anxiety and hopelessness….. But who can hear the voice coming from the depths of their hearts? And where can they turn to express their sorrowful feelings?
MIW invited an art therapist to teach the member “Zentangle” (It can be described as yoga for the brain). The art therapy sessions helped our members to express their feelings by meditating and drawing in any way they wanted to. Some members expressed that they were afraid of illness, some expressed those future uncertainties were making them anxious, and some members just wanted to express their appreciation for MIW. Recently, MIW distributed anti-virus packages or offered voluntarily Chinese doctor services, which provided much needed aid for our members.
After completing the art workshop, our members now know they are not alone and have the courage to move ahead!
