[Summer Zentangle art workshop for children]

Our summer class has just started!

Students participated in Make It Work’s Summer Art Program at the Tsuen Wan Centre led by Ms. Elijah Fung. To get the class started, Emilie, one of our volunteers, organized some ice breaking games for the kids to play which brought up the energy and got the kids engaged and ready to learn. Ms. Elijah then demonstrated some beginner patterns for everyone to try, and the class all got together to start practicing. There were some great demonstrations of creativity, with some of the students adding leaves to their patterns to make beautiful rose bouquets or adding details to turn them into a bunch of grapes.

Students had a lot of fun trying out all the different patterns and using color pencils to bring their drawings to life. There were a lot of class engagements and teamwork during today’s lesson, and we look forward to seeing our students showcase their creativity and energy in various ways.
