Relief plan to fight the virus (Feb 2020)
Due to the coronavirus threat, the working poor and low-income families are facing an even more difficult situation now.
Because of containment restrictions, our three centers had to stop providing hot meal services, and two had to find other locations to operate, so we undertook specific actions to be able to still provide support services: alternate locations were found, with the help of good people and volunteers, food packs including rice, noodles, dried food, and free fast food coupon are delivered to the most needy, and protective masks and hygiene kits are sourced and distributed to beneficiaries, for instance, to cleaners, who have exposed daily through their line of work but who can’t afford to pay for the current high price of protective masks.
