[Keep Motivated and Carry On]

FONG’s (alias) husband passed away and she had to take care of her son on her own. She has worked as a domestic helper, cleaner and security guard. Sometimes, she had to work 3 jobs at the same time to survive. She saved all her spare money to help give her son the best possible opportunities by paying for tutoring and extracurricular activities. In her spare time FONG took part in MIW’s holistic activities with her son. No matter how hard life was, FONG insisted on earning money on her own and not asking for financial aid from the Government. MIW members have always been amazed by Fong’s determination and focus. 

Thanks to MIW, FONG is now a Social Care Ambassador, who assists MIW in promotions and distributing necessities to the neighborhood. Fong’s diligence and hard work has always been her defining characteristics. So, what motivates Fong? “We have to always be positive and bring enthusiasm to our lives, working hard to gain more opportunities.” FONG said with determination.
