[Courage in the face of difficulties]

Chloe was laden with debt from taking care of her eldery parents’ heavy medical fees. Unfortunately, she lost her job but also couldn’t benefit from existing social policies. The Social Welfare Department referred Chloe to MIW and with extra help and support, she began to work through her obstacles.

Now in her 40s, on top of the debts Chloe still has debts to pay off, she has to pay the costly rent of a subdivided unit. Luckily, with assistance from MIW and through her own effort and perseverance, she was able to find a night shift security job despite the shrinking job market to alleviate her financial burdens.
